Bus Information

Dear Parent(s)/Legal Guardian(s):

In 2019, the HAR was revised clarifying that only students who are certified eligible by the Department of Human Services to participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program  (SNAP) are eligible for free bus passes. Eligibility is also determined by MVA, Foster Care, and if a student has 3 older paying siblings.

To clarify, a student attending a CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) school with free lunch, will no longer be automatically eligible for free bus. You must be SNAP certified to be eligible for a free bus pass. To apply for eligibility please make sure to fill out an online application at https://ezmealapp.com

Once you have applied for eligibility, you will then need to fill out a bus application either online at https://hi.etrition.com/busapplication or a hard copy provided in your child’s registration packet. If your application is denied, please make sure to correctly select your payment plan according to your ezmeal application status.
